Miiko is responsible for overseeing account teams to ensure they are continually innovating and delivering results-driven social media campaigns and digital PR initiatives, as well as connecting clients to the people who matter most and the events that help drive their businesses forward.

Her work has helped numerous companies to increase their brand awareness, visibility and credibility among industry influencers, partners and customers. Throughout her career, Miiko has worked with numerous companies; some of her favorites are Signal Patterns (health, wellness and psychology-based Web and mobile apps); MindTouch (open source enterprise collaboration); WebSideStory (Web analytics, acquired by Omniture); MonsterGecko (PC gaming); and most recently IFC.com (voices of independent culture – film, music and politics).

Miiko has been in marketing communications for more than a decade and prior to that she worked in video production for four years. Given the rise of Web video in the last few years, she has been able to leverage her video experience and has served as video producer and blogger to Bub.blicio.us, a popular blog that covers the social economy and everything bubbling up in Web 2.0, entertainment, health, beauty and more.

Prior to entering PR and marketing, Miiko produced and worked on numerous video and television productions, from satellite backhauls with Court TV and PBS’ The News Hour with Jim Lehrer to interviews with Apple Co-founder Steve Wozniak and many other technology founders, CEOs and celebrities.

Miiko holds a B.S. degree in public relations from San Jose State University with a minor in business marketing, and an A.A. degree in television and video production from De Anza College.
